Bill
French Sr. has been working in the
construction and trucking business
his entire life. He got his introduction
to the industry when, as a youngster,
he would follow his older brother
Frank to work at J.W. Flett Co.
in Belmont – Bill eventually joined
that company himself. But, in 1972
he was able to purchase his first 1964
Mack b81 and trailer and he started
out on his own. As time went on, Bill
developed his business into both a
site and trucking operation, to enable
the company to complete entire jobs
own their own. Eventually the
company branched out into road
construction, commercial site development,
and utility installation.
Through
the years W.L. French Excavating Corporation
developed a strong labor force.
And, as a testament not only to the
company's strength, philosophy and
values, but also to Bill as an individual,
some of Bill's employees have been
with him for up to twenty years. Bill
has always maintained a
standard of high quality work, an
emphasis on safety and a reputation
for fair, competitive pricing.
Today,
it's maintaining the long lasting
relationships with customers that
he has fostered through the years
that Bill considers to be his most
essential task. He still works
closely with the contractors he started
out with years ago and that fact speaks
for itself. Even now, after more than
30 years of being in business, he
is always on-site, on the job - working
along side his team and making sure
his customers are happy. |
